A downloadable game
A bullet hell game made for the Game Rex 2023 Game Jam.
You control a small ship and must defeat a horde of alien enemies while they fire an endless hail of bullets against you... The classic bullet hell experience.
As you lose lives, the stronger your ship becomes. Yet, every enemy triggers a surprise whenever they are destroyed. This fits the theme of the jam "The loser takes it all".
Controls: Use the arrow keys to move. Press or hold Z to shoot.
Tips:
Your ship can effortlessly clear the enemy hordes when it has just 1 life remaining.
Lifepacks spawn every time you defeat a fixed number of enemies.
Your enemies can easily corner you if you stay stuck to a single position. Use your invincibility period wisely.

Install instructions
1. Unzip the game.
2. Run the HellSpace.jar file. Requires Java to be installed (It most likely is)
Make sure that the res folder is in the same folder as the .jar file. The game will not run otherwise.
